A Healer In EVERY FAMILY
60Why Not You?
A HEALER IN EVERY FAMILY
By JoyRae Freeman – Divine Light Conduit/Master Healer
Compared to 10 years ago – or even just 5 years, there are more healers than any of us would have imagined possible. BUT WE NEED MORE HEALERS. So why do we need more healers?
HERE’S WHY
- Health Insurance – not available, too expensive, too restrictive. A for-profit health insurance system will never replace the pro-active self care we all can/must do.
- The government in bed with Big Pharma, Food Giants, Corporate Farming, Monsanto, corrupt FDA – the government failing us and betraying us with new laws restricting supplements and threatening to ban organic produce markets.
- Medical Care/Hospitals – although important to have available for broken bones and serious conditions – but is not the first/best solution for overall health. Most doctors don’t know anything about real nutrition or how the cells/building blocks of the body work. Mostly what they know and will provide is drugs and/or surgery. Wasn’t it Ben Franklin who said an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? Considering the staggering costs of hospital care and the damaging effects of pharmaceuticals – that quote is true exponentially to the power of 1000 today.
- NEW diseases within the past few decades, but which are alarmingly common now:
· Fibromyalgia
· Alzheimer’s
- Alarming increase in these conditions:
· Diabetes
· Cancer
· Obesity
· Hi Blood Pressure
- Environmental Risk Factors:
· Asbestos
· Lead in paint
· Black mold
· Chemicals in carpets and cleaners
· Waste and sewage dumped into streams, lakes and the ocean
· Fluoride and other Toxins in our water
· Pharmaceutical use on the rise
· Stress
· Processed Food
· Fast Food
· Genetically Modified Crops/Foods
· MSG and other chemicals in foods
· Antibiotics/Steroids in corporate livestock farms/dairies
· Artificial sugars poisoning the public
Most people don’t even know about these factors or are confused about what they can do about it – where can they start? Do your neighbors and family members understand the relativity of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health? How many people do you know who do not even read food labels?
What is a healer? A simple definition: someone who consciously practices techniques and methods intended for the wellbeing of self and others.
There are many healing modalities – certainly something for everyone. Many of us study and practice multiples techniques; others focus on one or two. A few more common types: acupuncture, herbal remedies, chiropractic, reflexology, acupressure, breath work, emotional freedom technique (EFT), massage, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), colonics, energy healing – such as Reiki and healing touch.
Reiki is an ancient form of healing energy treatment. It is very similar to “hands on” healing. I believe in past centuries, Reiki or some form of energy healing was practiced commonly and widely – before the powers-that-be forced such self empowerment knowledge underground.
Self healing is certainly part of the healing community. Teaching or practicing yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, dance/exercise and other fitness routines keep the body healthy that person is much more an asset to themselves, their families and the community.
FOOD as medicine. Those who provide organic food, especially raw food – to their families are actually healers in their own right. They are taking charge of theirs and their loved ones’ bodies from a nutritional base. It is very unlikely that those individuals would ever develop any serious diseases or illnesses.
The most amazing things can happen to us if we are open.
Until 1997, I would never have dreamed I would become a healer. Oh, I knew I was here to make a difference – to help create a better world; but most of my contribution came in the form of empowerment teaching, consulting and writing.
In 1991, I attended a 6 week intensive Qi Gong class – conducted by Master Lu, in Santa Monica, CA. My body experienced an immediate shift in vibration throughout the class and I practiced the Qi Gong pattern with dedication daily.
There are many, many Qi Gong patterns. This particular pattern used in Reikigong - works to regenerate and strengthen the 5 major organs. Although all Qi Gong modalities/patterns also very much positively affect the wellbeing of those who practice it on a regular basis - this specific combined pattern is unique within the world of Qi Gong. It regenerates and restores the five major organs: lungs, liver, kidney, stomach, heart.
After years of diligent Qi Gong practice – during a meditation in 1996, I received an activation of healing energy gift. Everyone lay on their backs on the carpet. This was a 45 minute meditation she called “Angelic Connection”. Approximately 20 seconds after the meditation had begun, my hands lifted out of the carpet and began to move into various positions, sometimes “scanning” my body. Then my hands rested in a final position - palms up, elbows on the carpet – and two huge golden eggs appeared in my hands, charged with electricity, shining like gold metal, but also glowing with radiant energy. I felt the surge of electricity, but it did not alarm me. After the meditation, I went home thinking this was simply a “way cool meditation”. However, late in 1997 – I was blessed to facilitate a “spontaneous” healing in a Spokane restaurant and I then realized this was a healing gift, not merely a meditation.
My diligent practice of Qi Gong was a significant factor leading up to receiving the energy healing activation.
Later, in the Seattle area, I became a Reiki Master/Instructor, Certified Hypnotherapist, NLP (Neuron-Linguistic Programming) practitioner, Advanced Quantum Touch Healer and Laser Reiki VII Master. At the core of ALL healing work with my clients – has been the electromagnetic healing energy received direct from Source.
Although it would not be possible to duplicate my own journey to becoming a healer – for others, I could see how a very unique training using the combination of Reiki and Qi Gong – could encapsulate my experience and provide a short cut or a “jump start” to others for becoming healers - for those who are ready to become a more proactive force in their own wellbeing and in the lives of their loved ones and communities.
Rei KI - Qi gong. KI and QI (chee) are the same word – meaning life energy. By practicing Qi Gong, the ability to use Reiki is upgraded to a higher vibration. By using Reiki, the benefits of Qi Gong are also elevated. It's an exponential factor in both modalities. In 2000, I invented the term and began offering the Reikigong workshops which provide a condensed introduction to the cultivation and use of life force energy.
By practicing Qi Gong and using Reiki (on self and/or others) the end result is that the individual is receiving and giving ongoing rebuilding, regeneration and healing of vital organs, blood stream cleansing, strengthening of immunities, rebuilding of structure, increased mental clarity, increased physical vitality, increased emotional balance, elimination of stress and fatigue. The practice of Qi Gong creates a stronger and clearer conduit for the circulation and delivery of healing energy.
The use of healing energy is effective for treating minor issues such as pain and stress, nausea, etc; but also can be very beneficial in reducing and eliminating more serious symptoms and conditions. Some hospitals are now requiring the basic nursing staff to learn and use Reiki.
Healing the Healers – I love providing healing treatments for tom healers and I am sometimes known as a healer’s healer. The reward in working with other healersis the knowledge that they are touching the lives of many others as well; so it’s gratifying to know that the goodness expands exponentially through them. Also, most healers are real “givers” and many forget to nurture themselves; and some are reluctant to even ask for help – thinking they should be able to manage it themselves. The truth is – that most of us provide better service to others than to ourselves; therefore, it makes perfect sense and feels really good for anyone, but maybe especially for other healers - to get a massage, have an energy treatment, schedule a reflexology session, treat yourself to some breath work, etc. We all need to regenerate, cannot do it ALL and can benefit from the skills and dedicated attention of other healers.
I believe that the main stream medical system fails humanity tragically and that we all MUST take our wellbeing into our hands. “A HEALER IN EVERY FAMILY” is not just a phrase I use - it is my philosophy. How did we give away so much of our power, anyway?
Don’t you owe it to yourself, your family and to your community to get well and stay well? Perhaps the best gift you can give them is - to be a role model and not be a future burden due to your own poor health choices. Whether you take classes in self healing modalities or teach others, learn a technique and hang up your “Healer” shingle – or simply keep yourself and your family well - your efforts are important.
